Binly · last updated June 13, 2026

Binly (“we”, “us”) is a Shopify app that helps merchants run inventory — stocktakes, reorder suggestions, and barcode labels. This policy explains what data the app accesses, why, and how we handle it. Binly is operated by Prokop Studio.

What data we access

When you install Binly, it accesses the following from your Shopify store through the Shopify Admin API:

How we use it

Data is used solely to provide the app’s features to you: counting stock, calculating reorder needs, generating labels, and writing inventory adjustments back to Shopify when you press “Apply”. We do not sell, rent, or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

What we store

To make stocktakes work, we store your count sessions in our database: product titles, SKUs, barcodes, expected and counted quantities, and the location of each count. We also store your Shopify session token. We do not store your customers’ personal information. Product and order data is read live from Shopify and is not retained beyond what’s needed for the features above.

Hosting & subprocessors

The app and its database are hosted on Railway (PostgreSQL). Data is processed only to operate the service.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while the app is installed. When you uninstall Binly, or on request, we delete the data associated with your store. We also honor Shopify’s mandatory data-request and data-erasure webhooks (customers/redact, shop/redact, customers/data_request).

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your store’s data at any time by emailing us. We comply with applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA for the limited data we process.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
